FBLA had a successful Fall Leadership Experience in Elko this week!
The Nevada Cancer Coalition will be at our schools on October 18th to provide a Sun Smart Presentation to our students.
The schedule is as follows:
1:10-1:50 9th -11th Grade
2:00-2:40 7th -8th Grade
3:00-3:40 Elementary School
The Nevada Attorney General's Office is seeking to better understand how Nevada youth use social media and how it impacts their lives. To accomplish this, the Nevada Attorney General's Office has developed the attached brief, optional survey flyer (in English and Spanish).
Staff, teachers, counselors, parents, high school students, and anyone who interacts with Nevada youth, or has an opinion they want to share about the impact of Social Media Platforms on Nevada youth are encouraged to take the survey.

SPORTS EVENTS HAPPENING THIS WEEK...
The elementary school recently finished its Read-A-Thon. Total donations received were $3,305. Total minutes read were 52,847. The top reader who raised the most money was Hadley D. with $275. The student who read the most minutes was Mia C. with 1,593 minutes. The class that raised the most money was Mrs. Hansen's with $775 and Mrs. Hansen's class also read the most minutes out of all the classes with 14,5952 minutes read. Congratulations to our elementary!
2023 Academy Nomination Presentation
The Military Service Academies are the nation's premier academic institutions, dedicated to educating, training, and fielding the next generation of transformational leaders. To qualify as prospective students, they need to acquire a Congressional Nomination. However, the process can be challenging, confusing, and tedious.
There is a virtual Military Academy Information Night via WebEx on Friday, October 13th, 2023, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm PST.
This event is open to all Nevada high school students and parents/guardians who are interested in the Academies.

PINK OUT! The high school had a fun assembly this morning for Pink Out Day. Come support our teams who are all playing at home today.

Today is National Cinnamon Roll Day!
The freshman class is selling fresh, home-baked cinnamon rolls during lunch and after school for $3 each.
Tomorrow is PINK OUT DAY! Wear your PINK in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. The football team will be playing Pyramid Lake and will be honoring the SENIORS at the game tomorrow night. Kick-off @7 pm. Volleyball will be playing Jackpot starting @4 pm. Golf will start @10 am at Chimney Rock Golf Course and they will also be honoring their SENIOR golfer. Wear your PINK and come support all our teams!
IMPACT AID FORMS were sent home with all students this week. Please fill them out and return them to the high school office or the elementary office. Thank you!
