Hey Elko!!! EHS Student Council Needs your help!! Elko High School Student Council has been focusing on leadership in and out of high school! Last year, they started learning about what “leadership” looks like once you leave high school and start a career! They were lucky to have some awesome guest speakers and a field trip to our local Fire Department & TS Power Plant to get a closer look into how to be a leader in different careers. This year they are looking for more guest speakers and possible field trip locations! If you are interested in coming to talk to an amazing group of high schoolers about your career and leadership in your business we would love to have you!! Field trips are limited but they are hoping to have at least 4 this year. If you are interested please email the Student Council Advisor at jmontes@ecsdnv.net 🙂 Thank you!!!

The P.E. Department will be selling uniforms during the open house on Wednesday. Please make sure to stop by the gym to meet the P.E. teachers and get your uniform. Remember they are mandatory for P.E.

WELCOME BACK INDIANS Release of Schedules: Schedules will be posted online on Infinite Campus on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. To request a schedule change please go to the link below. The link will say "not accepting responses anymore" until it opens on Wed., so please wait until Wed. to go to the link. https://forms.gle/hJz9WGUCbaQVy59i8 Detailed information on requests permitted are listed on the form along with a section for explaining extenuating circumstances. Please be detailed in the information you provide. Schedule change requests will ONLY be made through this form and will be reviewed by counselors. This will take the place of in person change requests this year. The deadline to submit change requests is Sunday, August 18, 2024, by midnight (Google Form will be closed). Approved changes will be live on IC. Students will be notified by e-mail before school starts. Please be patient as counselors work through the numerous requests, as it will take several days to do so.

Good evening Elko High School parents. There will be a special education inclusion meeting on Thursday, August 15th at 5:30 pm in the Performing Arts Building. This meeting aims to inform parents and families about the transition of their middle school and high school students from a Special Education resource classroom setting into an inclusive General Education classroom setting and what that may look like. The meeting will provide an opportunity to address concerns, clarify expectations, and foster collaboration between parents, educators, and students. Additionally, students and families will be able to locate their classrooms as well as possibly meet their teachers during our open house on the 21st of August.

Join us for a day of fun on the green at the Elko High School Golf Tournament! Hosted by the Boosters at Elko High School, this event on August 30, 2024, will raise funds to support student activities, athletics, and fixing the track at Warrior Field. So, grab your clubs and invite your friends to join us for a day of golf and fundraising for a great cause! Tournament registration costs are $50 per single or $200 per team of four. NOTE: Golf $55 + Cart rental is NOT covered by the registration. Registration fee includes a catered lunch and opportunities to win prizes. Reminder: Due to the Monday holiday, school is in session at all Elko County School District schools tomorrow, Friday, May 31st.

All ECSD schools and offices are closed today, Monday, May 27 in honor of the Memorial Day holiday. Classes and normal activities will resume tomorrow Tuesday, May 28. Due to the Monday holiday, the school week shifts Tuesday-Friday. School is in session at all ECSD schools this Friday, May 31.

Due to icy roads, drifting snow and poor road conditions, Elko, Carlin and Spring Creek schools are on a 2-hour delay Monday, March 4th.

Next year's dual credit dental assisting program is now accepting applications! Must be a junior or a senior during the 24-25 school year to apply.
